HEINE ENGELBRECHT
Heine has over 33 years of experience in the motorcycle, touring and motor vehicle Industry. He is the founder of African Dream Adventure (ADA) and True Adventures.
ADA has been awarded numerous motorcycle manufacturers launches over the years – the KTM 790 in Morocco, the Africa Twin launch in South Africa, the Harley Davidson Launch in Florida and numerous vehicle launches, both locally and internationally.
Heine has also been awarded the official press launch tour of the much-anticipated Honda Trans Alp in May of 2023, which Tuli Tours Africa will be hosting. ADA has also been awarded the contract to manage the Nissan Adventure Club doing all Nissan Navara training and events.
Heine has hosted tours into Africa going as far north as Kenya and Tanzania (Land Rover 50th anniversary). Over and above being a certified 4×4 and motorcycle instructor, Heine is certified as CPR/AED + First Aid, Nature Site Guide Level 2, and a member of Field Guide Association of Southern Africa.
Perhaps even more notable than his experience and qualifications, Heine’s open, warm and friendly demeaner is something guests always make particular reference to. You are truly safe in this man’s care and can expect hospitality and professionalism on a world class level. One would be hard pressed to find someone with stronger credentials.
JOHN GILBERT
John hales from a family whose history is steeped in a long heritage of travel and tourism. John’s father was the marketing manager of Southern Sun, reporting directly to the legendary Sol Kerzner in its early inception, and pioneered tourism to the Seychelle’s.
John continued the family tradition by founding Tuli-Adventures (now rebranded to Tuli Tours Africa) and has been running motorcycle tours to Botswana from Johannesburg since 2016. He has visited the country more than forty times in that time period. In that same year he completed a solo navigation of the perimeter of South Africa in just nine days on an adventure motorcycle.
John has been riding motorcycles for over 30 years and has a wealth of global corporate expertise, as well as vast travel and tourism experience, including having experienced Gorilla tracking at Five Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, to internationally renowned Safari resorts such as Shamwari, Londolozi, Mala Mala, Sabi Sabi and Kanana Okavango Delta. This has afforded him a fantastic frame of reference to draw on when designing tailor made itineraries.
